- Address and personal info updates are made through Able / the Talent Platform.
- Moved to a new state? The consultant also needs to submit a new federal and state tax form in Able โ the address update alone isn't enough. Complete it by the effective date of the move.
- Recruiters & AEs: a move to a new state also needs a new placement. Send support the move date and the billing team will create it.
- Legal name or SSN changes cannot be done through self-service โ contact support.
Your home state determines which state taxes are withheld from your paycheck. An address update alone does not update your tax withholding. This applies to remote consultants too, even if your job duties don't change.
If you are moving to a new state, you need to:
- Update your address in Able (steps above), and
- Submit a new federal W-4 and any required state withholding form in Able.
Deadline: Complete these by the effective date of your move.
Don't skip the W-4. See: How to Update Tax Withholding (W-4). Unsure which state form applies? Contact support.
A move to a new state means a new placement is needed, even if the consultant is remote and their work doesn't change.
- Billing team: creates the new placement.
- Consultant: completes a new federal and state form in Able (see above).
- You: send support the exact effective date of the move.
Don't have an exact date yet? Keep support posted. Send the exact date as soon as you have it, and support will make the change on our end.
Date changes? Send support the updated date. Eight Eleven Group Support
