Seeing more than one paystub for the same pay date is normal and expected. Payroll systems may split earnings across multiple paystubs to ensure accurate taxation and reporting. This is a system behavior and does not indicate an error.
For help accessing your paystubs in ADP, see ADP Access, Paystubs & W-2.
- Multiple paystubs for one pay date are normal.
- Pay may be split by week, earning type, or adjustment.
- To verify your pay, add the net pay amounts from all stubs with the same pay date โ the total should match your deposit.
Common reasons multiple paystubs are generated:
Multiple workweeks paid together
Payroll systems may separate each week to calculate taxes correctly.
Different types of earnings
Regular hours, overtime, per diem, bonuses, reimbursements, or expenses may appear on separate stubs.
Rate changes or corrections
Retro pay, mid-period rate changes, or payroll corrections often post as a separate stub.
Multiple stubs do not mean pay is missing โ they reflect how earnings are categorized.
- Log in to ADP Workforce Now.
- Locate all paystubs with the same pay date listed.
- Open each paystub and note the net pay amount.
- Add the net pay amounts together.
The total should match the amount deposited into your bank account.
